The Power of the Smile
– 7 Guidelines for a Better Work Life
My latest book, The Power of the Smile, is currently only available in Danish – but right here, you can access an exclusive English summary:
The book is part of the foundation for my new life project “New Ways to Break the Paradox of Modern Happiness” – where I invite to Conversations That Matter – When East Meets West. A two-year exploration: What if we brought even a spark of the timeless wisdom of the East into our lives, our work, and our culture — to confront stress and burnout, and inspire the courage to choose differently and create real change?
A book born from real life
This is a deeply personal book, shaped by more than 25 years of hands-on experience — as an editor, head of communications in the public sector, and trusted advisor to leaders.
It is built on insights from over one hundred carefully selected sources, ranging from global research to practical tools. But just as much, it is grounded in real-life moments, including:
- Study trips to the Dalai Lama’s hometown and temple in the Himalayas in India, and to one of the world’s largest personal development events in the U.S. – led by American coach Tony Robbins.
- My work as a Master Coach and program lead in Danish eldercare, where I guided 110 employees through a coaching-based workplace program — and where 88% said: Yes, these tools and conversations really can improve our work lives.
“Inspiring and engaging. The principles are simple and accessible to everyone. You can sense American inspiration, yet the book is rooted in a Danish context and useful from page one.” (Professional Review, Danish Library Center)
